Drew Schechtman is the Head of ESG and Sustainability. He will help advance environmental, social and governance strategies across the firm’s corporate operations, investment teams and portfolio companies. Mr. Schechtman brings 15 years experience leading ESG and sustainable investment programs and strategically driving corporate responsibility efforts. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2023, Mr. Schechtman served as the Head of ESG Investment Strategy for AIG, Corebridge Financial and Voya Financial. He also worked at BNY Mellon as Head of Environmental Investment and Sustainability. Mr. Schechtman holds a Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
As a member of Platinum Equity’s M&A Operations team, Peter Schultz is responsible for performing operational and commercial due diligence on potential acquisition targets and for developing post-acquisition transition and value creation plans. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2014, Mr. Schultz held positions at The Lab Consulting Partnership; Dewolff, Boberg & Associates; and W.H. Brady Corp. / Telco Asset Management Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University and a Master of Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University.
Mary Ann Sigler joined Platinum Equity in 2004. She is currently responsible for overall accounting, tax, and financial reporting as well as managing strategic planning projects for Platinum Equity. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Sigler is the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Platinum Equity, Ms. Sigler was Senior Partner at Ernst & Young LLP (E&Y). Ms. Sigler’s 25-year career at E&Y began in January 1980 and she made Partner in September 1987. While at E&Y, Ms. Sigler’s clients included: Lockheed Martin Corporation, AOL Time Warner, TRW, Northrop Grumman, Amgen Inc, Allergan Inc, Teledyne Technologies, Rustic Canyon, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She was also involved in several high profile acquisitions and dispositions for these clients. Ms. Sigler holds a Master’s Degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Accounting from the California State University at Fullerton.
As a member of Platinum Equity’s M&A Operations team, Aloysius Sin is responsible for performing commercial and operational due diligence on potential acquisition targets and for developing post-acquisition transition and value creation plans. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2016, Mr. Sin worked at GIC and Bain & Company. Mr. Sin holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Jamie Smith is a member of the Credit team at Platinum Equity and oversees non-investment operations. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2019, Mr. Smith was most recently a Managing Director at Benefit Street Partners, where he held multiple roles including Portfolio Manager of Collateralized Loan Obligations. He was also responsible for structuring and executing fund financings and helped build an institutional quality infrastructure. Mr. Smith holds a BA in Business Administration from Baruch College and an MBA from Fordham University.
Kevin P. Smith is Head of Debt Capital Markets and is responsible for all debt capital placement and related corporate finance activity for new and existing portfolio companies. Mr. Smith helps manage the firm’s relationships with capital providers around the world and spearheads financing transactions related to leveraged buyouts, refinancings and recapitalizations using High Yield, Senior and Junior Debt, and ABL structures. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2010, Mr. Smith was a senior leverage finance banker with Wells Fargo, Mellon, UMTB Group, and First Chicago/Bank One. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Butler University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the USC Marshall School of Business.
Jordan Stone is responsible for business development activities focused on identifying new acquisition opportunities. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2016, Mr. Stone was a Vice President at OpenGate Capital. Mr. Stone holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of Southern California.
Ryan Toteja provides in-house counsel on legal affairs for Platinum Equity and its portfolio companies, with an emphasis on supporting the firm’s investor relations, compliance, tax and credit teams. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2021, Mr. Toteja worked at The Carlyle Group and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Mr. Toteja holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Columbia Law School.
Malik Vorderwuelbecke is responsible for the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. He also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2012, Mr. Vorderwuelbecke worked at Englefield Capital, a pan-European private equity firm and UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Vorderwuelbecke holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Master’s in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Dawn Walloch is a member of the firm’s in-house tax department and is responsible for addressing tax issues relating to the firm’s M&A activities as well as the operations of the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2004, Ms. Walloch held positions at PWC, Ernst & Young, and Warner Bros. Ms. Walloch holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University, Los Angeles.
