Robert Klap is a member of the Investor Relations team, based in London and is responsible for global functions connected to capital raising, fund administration and investor relations. Mr. Klap joined Platinum in 2011, but began his career at Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants. He later worked for PBOD and in the alternative investment departments of MN and Shell. Most recently, Mr. Klap was employed by UBS, where he was involved in managing private equity investments for the bank’s wealth management group. Mr. Klap received his M.Sc. from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Max Koesler is responsible for the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. He also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2013, Mr. Koesler worked at JP Morgan and Macquarie Capital. Mr. Koesler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.
Dori Konig is responsible for the transition and integration of newly acquired companies into the Platinum Equity portfolio and driving long-term transformation plans tailored to the specific needs of each business. These efforts involve implementation of a broad range of highly-detailed operational improvements designed to have an immediate and significant impact on revenue, cash flow and profitability. Mr. Konig also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2013, Mr. Konig was with Alvarez & Marsal where he focused on the performance improvement and acquisition integration strategies for private equity portfolio companies across a variety of industries.
Renee Koontz is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. Ms. Koontz’s duties include formulating business plans for functional departments such as finance, sales, marketing, customer service, and human resources, and driving restructuring business processes as necessary. As a member of the operating council for certain portfolio companies, she also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance. Jacob Kotzubei is co-president of Platinum Equity and a member of its Investment Committee. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Kotzubei leads the Los Angeles headquarters–based investment team and has oversight responsibility for the investment team in Asia. In addition, Mr. Kotzubei plays an active role in the management of the firm’s day-to-day activities as well as its strategic direction. Mr. Kotzubei and his team led the acquisition of, divestiture of or investment in the following: SourceOne Healthcare (formerly Diagnostic Imaging), Geologic, CompuCom Systems, Turf Care Supply (formerly a division of Lesco), ESM Group, PNA Group, SDI, Broadleaf Logistic (formerly Canwel Building Products, a division acquired from Weyerhaeuser),
Dan Krasner is responsible for the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. As a member of the operating council for portfolio companies, he also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of add-on and divestiture transactions. Prior to joining Platinum in 2003, he spent five years in the mergers and acquisitions group of Paul Hastings. Mr. Krasner received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Juris Doctor degree from Cornell University Law School.
Jason LaDuke is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2011, Mr. LaDuke worked for Marakon. Mr. LaDuke led initiatives with Fortune 500 clients in the manufacturing (auto and aerospace), energy and healthcare industries. Mr. LaDuke holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard and a law degree from the University of Michigan.
Melissa Lawson is Platinum Equity’s Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the compliance program. Ms. Lawson joined Platinum Equity in 2019. She previously was Senior Director at Fitch Ratings, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, and AGC, CCO and Corporate Secretary at Annaly Capital Management’s broker-dealer and registered investment advisor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Central Connecticut State University, a Juris Doctor from American University, and a Masters of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
